The number one reason why person do not seek out a qualified and competent fitness trainer is: people think they are expensive! And, I can understand this reason initially. Personal trainers are currently not covered by health insurance (There is a way to get a tax deduction though. Email me and I’ll tell you how.). Plus, you never know if you are getting a person who truly understands where you are coming from, so why waste the money, right? Let’s consider a few things:

  • The average American spends 10-25% of their annual salary on healthcare (really sick care) each year.
  • Nearly 50% of Americans are now considered overweight or obese.
  • A conservative 20 million people in America have Type II diabetes.
  • An estimated 18 million Americans have sleep apnea.
  • 12 million Americans have COPD
  • 13 million Americans have a thyroid disease.
  • There are so many more diseases and conditions to list!

420269392_4b9ccb85fcMore and more research is showing that over 90% of diseases and modern day illnesses can be prevented and reversed. Also, more and more research is showing that proper exercise and nutritional eating (COMBINED!) is the number 1 way to prevent disease and combat it when needing to reverse a diseased state. We can no longer deny that humans are designed to exercise and eat natural foods. However, it is safe that say that most Americans are addicted to their under-active and poor eating habits. If pure “looking better” isn’t motivation, then consider the fact that you are shortening your life potential and not only that, you are not not able to enjoy the days you have because you are in a diseased state! Obesity if NOT normal! High blood pressure, for most people, is not normal! Sleep apnea, for most people, is not normal!

Luckily, our health and wellness works like a spectrum. On one end is death and the other is optimal wellness. We all fall somewhere between the two. Functional exercise and supportive nutrition allows a person who was closer to the death end move closer to optimal wellness. It gives the body the absolute best ability to be working properly, which reduces the factors that cause disease. With this approach, you literally get to take your current body and transform it to a better more optimal one!

price-tagSo, I return to my original statement about personal training being expensive. What is the price tag on your wellness? I don’t believe there is a price tag. I know your life is much more valuable than the amount of personal training fees. It’s a spit in the bucket. Not only that, you get to not go the doctor for avoidable issues and you get to save money on those meds you’d have to take. You get to enjoy and live life to the fullest and you get to feel good and look good to boot! I am just not seeing the expensive part anymore…

Be Better,

Dexter
